The Southern Indian Health Council is looking for Families to Become a "Resource Family" to help Tribal Youth stay connected to their family and culture.

What is a Resource Family?
Any individual, couple, or family who wants to provide care to a related or unrelated child who is in the foster care or the probation system. Once approved, Resource Families may foster, adopt or take guardianship of a child depending on the Resource Family’s goal, and permanent plan for the child.
The Indian child social services department at southern Indian health council is dedicated to meeting the needs of all Native American children to ensure they are comforted in a safe, loving, nurturing, accepting and consistent home where they can thrive and grow.
RFA Process Core Requirements
Background Assessment 1 hour Orientation
12 hours of Trauma Informed Pre-Service Training (TIPS)
Home Environment Assessment
Permanency Assessment Health Questionnaire
