SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.  – FNX | First Nations Experience, the first and only national television network in the U.S. with a 24/7 devotion to American Indian and World Indigenous cultures has just renewed broadcast rights for the series Indian Pride produced and distributed by Circle of Nations LLC and Prairie Public Television. The 5 year agreement for the series includes some FNX support for the production. The additional seasons will be carried by FNX and transmitted to over 20 Million households across the country.

 

With the help of strong programming like the Indian Pride series, FNX has steadily increased carriage across the country, emerging as a self-contained, turnkey, fulltime national public television channel. FNX’s affiliate stations are in 18 states from Alaska to New York. FNX is available via satellite to stations and service providers throughout the U.S. over the Public Television Interconnect System. FNX has delivered this service with the PBS Interconnect System since November  2014.

 

Indian Pride is presented in HD and strives to illustrate the rich diversity that exists within American Indian cultures and reflects a true voice of American Indians and Indigenous people from around the globe. FNX and Circle of Nations LLC fill a media void by providing programming not available anywhere else in the United States, telling the stories of Native people in their own words.

 

 FNX was launched in San Bernardino, California on September 25, 2011 by PBS member station KVCR through a partnership with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians FNX | First Nations Experience is a service of KVCR-TV/FM, a division of the San Bernardino Community College District, San Bernardino, CA.

 

Currently, in Southern California, FNX can be seen over the air on KVCR’s Digital Ch. 24.2, on Direct TV Ch. 24-2, and on Verizon FiOS Ch. 471. In addition to the major metropolitan regions of Chicago and Los Angeles, FNX is also carried by stations in Alaska, Arizona, Illinois, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Utah, including several tribal reservation communities.
